Beatmania 6th Mix adopts the latest songs of current popular UK club artists. Featuring a wide range of difficulties, this game has been designed to appeal to both casual players who enjoy music as well as hardcore fans of the genre. New to this version of Beat Mania is the 'Free' mode, giving players an opportunity to perform their own mixes with limited instructions from the machine.
The DJ craze hits the arcade big time with Beat Mania. Players use 5 keys/buttons and a turntable to crank out techno mayhem.
Similar in it's ideals to Dance Dance Revolution. As the music plays the symbols fall to the bottom of the screen the player must press the corresponding button or move the turntables at the correct time. Also like with it's Dancing counterpart. The depending on the player's timing the screen will flash with anything from prefect to miss, will makes the players energy bar grow or shrink. At the end of the song the player is rating on his/her performance anything apart from a fail allows the player to continue. |
