Reflec Beat Arcade Machine is a rhythm and music game from Bemani and is the successor to 2008's jubeat.
The game field features two horizontal lines, with the bottom line being the player’s. Circular markers called Objects move toward the player’s line, and the objective is to tap them precisely as they align with it.
Object Types:
Gold Object – Bounces in the opposite direction when hit on either player’s or opponent’s line.
Black Object – Disappears when touched on either line.
Long Object – Must be held in place until its trailing end reaches the line (like “Charge Notes” in IIDX or “Freeze Arrows” in DDR).
Chain Object – Linked to another Object; must be double-tapped at the same spot.
2TOP Object – Appears only in MEDIUM and HARD modes. Moves toward one of two upper receptors and must be tapped as it overlaps them.
Tapping Objects yields one of four ratings:
JUST (best)
GREAT
GOOD
MISS (worst)
Each rating contributes differently to the score, which is displayed in the center of the screen and determines win or loss.
A special gauge split into three parts. Successful hits fill it, enabling the TOUCH & SLIDE mechanic. When active, players can tap and slide a Gold Object (not Black) to send it bouncing unpredictably. Using this feature consumes part of the gauge. |
